Lodi Borough is located at 40°52'25" North, 74°06'45" West (40.873611, -74.112500). According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 2.3 square miles (6.0 km2), all of which is land.
The borough is located in the Hackensack River watershed. The borough is bisected by the Passaic River, which forms the border between Bergen and Passaic counties. The borough is also home to the Hackensack River, which flows through the borough from north to south.
