Glassboro borough Summary

Glassboro Borough is a small borough located in Gloucester County, New Jersey. It is situated in the heart of South Jersey, approximately 25 miles southeast of Philadelphia and 50 miles northwest of Atlantic City. History

Glassboro was first settled in 1779 by a group of Quakers from Philadelphia. The town was originally known as “Glass Works” due to the abundance of glass factories in the area. The name was changed to Glassboro in 1878.
