Oak Run Summary

History

Oak Run is a small unincorporated community located in the northern part of LaSalle County, Illinois. It is situated in the middle of a rural area, surrounded by farmland and small towns. The area was first settled in the early 1800s by German immigrants, who were attracted to the area by its fertile soil and abundant natural resources. The first settlers built log cabins and cleared the land for farming. As the population grew, more settlers moved into the area and the community began to take shape.
