Cedar Point Summary

Cedar Point is a small unincorporated community located in the state of Illinois, in the United States. It is situated in the northwest corner of the state, in Stephenson County, and is part of the Freeport Micropolitan Statistical Area. The community is located on the banks of the Pecatonica River, and is home to a population of approximately 200 people.

History

The area that is now Cedar Point was first settled in the early 1830s by a group of settlers from New York. The settlers were attracted to the area due to its abundance of natural resources, including timber and fertile soil.
