Waynesville Summary

Waynesville, Ohio is a small village located in Warren County, Ohio. It is situated in the southwestern part of the state, approximately 25 miles northeast of Cincinnati. The village has a population of approximately 4,500 people and is part of the Dayton metropolitan area.

History

Waynesville was founded in 1815 by William Wayne, a Revolutionary War veteran. The village was named after him and was originally known as Wayne’s Station. The village was incorporated in 1845 and has since grown to its current size.

Geography

Waynesville is located in the southwestern part of Warren County, Ohio. It is situated on the Little Miami River, which is a tributary of the Ohio River. The village is surrounded by rolling hills and is located in the Miami Valley region of Ohio. The village is approximately 25 miles northeast of Cincinnati and is part of the Dayton metropolitan area.
