Morgandale Summary

Morgandale is a small village located in the state of Ohio, United States. It is situated in the southeastern part of the state, in the county of Trumbull. The village is located on the banks of the Mahoning River, and is part of the Youngstown-Warren-Boardman metropolitan area. The population of Morgandale was 1,845 in the 2010 census.

History

Morgandale was founded in 1817 by a group of settlers from Connecticut. The village was named after the Morgan family, who were among the first settlers. The village was originally a farming community, and the main crops grown were corn, wheat, and oats. In the late 19th century, the village began to grow as a manufacturing center, with several factories being built in the area. The most notable of these was the Morgandale Iron Works, which was established in 1887.
