McClure Summary

Mcclure is a small village located in Wyandot County, Ohio, United States. The village is situated along the Sandusky River, approximately 8 miles south of Upper Sandusky. The population of the village was estimated to be 545 in the 2010 census.

History

Mcclure was founded in 1837 by John McClure, a Revolutionary War veteran. The village was originally known as "McClure's Landing" and was a stop on the Underground Railroad. The village was incorporated in 1867 and was named after its founder.
