Lakeline Summary

History

The small village of Lakeline, Ohio is located in the southeastern corner of the state, in the county of Athens. It is situated on the banks of the Hocking River, and is surrounded by rolling hills and lush forests. The area was first settled in the early 1800s by a group of pioneers from Pennsylvania. They were attracted to the area by its abundant natural resources, including timber, fish, and game. The settlers built a small community, which they named Lakeline, after the nearby lake.
