Grand River Summary

Grand River, Ohio is a small village located in Lake County, Ohio. It is situated on the Grand River, which is a tributary of Lake Erie. The village is located approximately 30 miles northeast of Cleveland and is part of the Greater Cleveland Metropolitan Area. The population of Grand River was 1,845 at the 2010 census.

History

Grand River was first settled in 1810 by a group of settlers from Connecticut. The village was originally known as Grand River Station, as it was a stop on the Cleveland and Mahoning Railroad. The village was incorporated in 1867 and was named after the Grand River.

The economy of Grand River is largely based on agriculture and manufacturing. The village is home to several small businesses, including a grocery store, a hardware store, and a few restaurants. The village also has a few small industrial parks.

As of the 2010 census, there were 1,845 people, 745 households, and 486 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,539.2 people per square mile.
