Penryn Summary
Penryn is a small borough located in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. It is situated in the southeastern corner of the county, approximately 8 miles south of the city of Lancaster. The population of Penryn was 1,093 at the 2010 census.
History
The area that is now Penryn was first settled in 1719 by a group of Mennonites from Germany. The town was originally known as “Mennonitetown” and was later renamed “Penryn” after a Welsh town. The town was officially incorporated in 1845.

Geography
Penryn is located at 40°7′17″N 76°17′17″W (40.1214, -76.2881). According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.6 km2), all of it land.
The borough is located in the southeastern corner of Lancaster County, approximately 8 miles south of the city of Lancaster. It is bordered by East Drumore Township to the north, West Drumore Township to the east, and Providence Township to the south and west.
