Meadowlands is located in the Allegheny Plateau region of Pennsylvania. The borough is situated on a plateau that is approximately 1,000 feet above sea level. The terrain is mostly flat with some rolling hills. The borough is bordered by the boroughs of West View and Ross Township to the north, McCandless Township to the east, and the boroughs of Bellevue and Avalon to the south. The borough is located in the Ohio River watershed and is drained by the Pine Creek and its tributaries.
The climate in Meadowlands is classified as humid continental, with hot summers and cold winters. The average annual temperature is approximately 50 degrees Fahrenheit. The average annual precipitation is approximately 40 inches.
