McMurray Summary

McMurray, Pennsylvania is a small borough located in Washington County, Pennsylvania. It is situated in the southwestern corner of the state, approximately 25 miles south of Pittsburgh. The borough was founded in 1872 and is named after its founder, John McMurray. The population of McMurray was 2,845 as of the 2010 census.

Geography

McMurray is located at 40°14'25"N 80°10'17"W (40.240278, -80.171389). According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.7 square miles (1.8 km2), all of it land.
McMurray is located in the southwestern corner of Washington County, Pennsylvania. It is bordered by Peters Township to the north, Cecil Township to the east, and North Strabane Township to the south and west. The borough is situated in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area and is approximately 25 miles south of downtown Pittsburgh.
