History

Loganton Borough was founded in 1845 by a group of settlers from the nearby town of Loganton. The settlers were looking for a place to settle and build a community. The town was named after the nearby Loganton Creek, which was named after a Native American chief who lived in the area. The first settlers were mostly farmers and the town quickly grew to include a post office, a school, a church, and a few stores.
In the late 1800s, Loganton Borough began to experience a period of growth and prosperity. The town was home to several businesses, including a sawmill, a grist mill, a tannery, and a blacksmith shop. The town also had a hotel, a bank, and a newspaper.
