Jacksonville Cdp is a census-designated place (CDP) located in Centre County, Pennsylvania. It is part of the State College, PA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population of Jacksonville Cdp was 1,845 at the 2010 census.

Geography

Jacksonville Cdp is located at 40°48'17" North, 77°51'45" West (40.804722, -77.8625). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.3 square miles (3.4 km2), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there were 1,845 people, 745 households, and 486 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,420.3 people per square mile (548.7/km2). There were 790 housing units at an average density of 605.7/sq mi (233.7/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 97.45% White, 0.76% African American, 0.05% Native American, 0.76% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 0.05% from other races, and 0.83% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.60% of the population.
There were 745 households, out of which 28.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.2% were married couples living together, 8.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 37.2% were non-families. 30.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.37 and the average family size was 2.97.
In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 21.7% under the age of 18, 10.2% from 18 to 24, 28.2% from 25 to 44, 24.7% from 45 to 64, and 15.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females, there were 94.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.2 males.
