Ivyland Borough is located at 40°13'45" North, 75°7'45" West (40.229167, -75.129028). According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.7 square miles (1.8 km2), all of it land.
The borough is located in the Delaware Valley, and is part of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The borough is located in the northern part of Bucks County, and is bordered by Warminster Township to the north, Warrington Township to the east, and Northampton Township to the south and west.

As of the 2010 census, there were 1,819 people, 717 households, and 486 families residing in the borough. The population density was 2,619.3 people per square mile (1,011.2/km2). The racial makeup of the borough was 94.2% White, 1.7% African American, 0.2% Native American, 1.7% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 0.7% from other races, and 1.4% from two or more races.
