Hallam borough Summary

Hallam Borough is a borough located in York County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 4,845 at the 2010 census. It is part of the York-Hanover Metropolitan Statistical Area.

History

Hallam Borough was founded in 1887 by a group of local businessmen. The borough was named after Hallam Township, which was named after the English town of Hallamshire. The borough was incorporated in 1891.

Geography

Hallam Borough is located at 39°59'45"N 76°41'45"W (39.995833, -76.695833). According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.7 square miles (1.8 km2), all of it land.
