Glasgow Borough is a borough located in the state of Pennsylvania in the United States. It is located in the southwestern corner of the state, and is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The borough is home to a population of approximately 4,000 people, and is the smallest borough in the state.
History
Glasgow Borough was founded in 1845, and was named after the city of Glasgow in Scotland. The borough was originally part of Washington Township, and was incorporated as a borough in 1845. The borough was originally a farming community, and was home to a number of small businesses. In the late 19th century, the borough began to experience a period of growth, as the population increased and new businesses opened.
Geography
Glasgow Borough is located in the southwestern corner of Pennsylvania, and is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The borough is situated in the Allegheny Plateau region of the state, and is located at an elevation of 1,000 feet.
