Foster Brook is located in the northwest corner of Erie County, Pennsylvania. It is situated on the east side of the city of Erie, and is bordered by the townships of Millcreek, Harborcreek, and Greene. The borough is located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, and is surrounded by rolling hills and forests. The terrain is mostly flat, with some small hills and valleys. The climate is humid continental, with cold winters and warm summers.

Foster Brook’s economy is largely based on agriculture and manufacturing. The borough is home to several small farms, which produce a variety of crops, including corn, soybeans, wheat, and hay.
