Conway Borough is a small borough located in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. It is situated along the Ohio River, approximately 25 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. The population of Conway Borough was 1,845 at the 2010 census.

History

Conway Borough was founded in 1816 by John Conway, a Revolutionary War veteran. The town was originally known as Conwaysburg, but the name was changed to Conway Borough in 1854. The town was incorporated in 1868.
In the late 19th century, Conway Borough was a thriving industrial center. It was home to several factories, including a glassworks, a brickyard, and a tannery. The town also had a number of stores and businesses, including a hotel, a bank, and a post office.

Geography

Conway Borough is located at 40°37'45" North, 80°17'45" West (40.629, -80.296). According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.7 square miles, all of it land.
