Forest County Summary

History

Forest County is located in the northwestern corner of Pennsylvania and is bordered by Warren, Venango, Clarion, and Jefferson counties. The county was created in 1848 from parts of Venango and Warren counties and was named for the dense forests that covered the area. The county seat is Tionesta.
