Blandburg is a small borough located in Cambria County, Pennsylvania. It is situated in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains, approximately 10 miles east of Altoona. The population of Blandburg was 545 at the 2010 census.
History
Blandburg was founded in 1845 by John Bland, a local landowner. The town was originally known as Bland’s Station, but the name was changed to Blandburg in 1876. The town was incorporated in 1887.
In the late 19th century, Blandburg was a thriving industrial center, with several coal mines, a brickyard, and a sawmill. The town also had a number of stores and businesses, including a hotel, a bank, and a post office.

Blandburg is located at 40°30'25" North, 78°37'45" West (40.506944, -78.629167). According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.3 square miles (0.8 km2), all of it land.

Blandburg’s economy is largely based on agriculture and tourism. The town is home to several small farms, as well as a number of bed and breakfasts. The town also has a few small businesses, including a grocery store, a hardware store, and a restaurant.

As of the 2010 census, there were 545 people, 221 households, and 149 families residing in the borough. The population density was 1,817.2 people per square mile (700.7/km2). There were 233 housing units at an average density of 776.7 per square mile (299.9/km2). The racial makeup of the borough was 98.9% White, 0.2% African American, 0.2% Native American, 0.2% Asian, and 0.5% from two or more races.
