Albion Borough is a small borough located in Erie County, Pennsylvania. It is situated in the northwest corner of the county, just south of the city of Erie. Albion Borough was founded in 1832 by a group of settlers from Albion, New York. The settlers purchased the land from the Holland Land Company and named the area after their hometown. The first settlers were primarily farmers, and the area quickly grew into a thriving agricultural community.
In 1845, the borough was officially incorporated. The first mayor of Albion was William H. Smith. During the late 19th century, Albion experienced a period of growth and development. The borough was home to several businesses, including a sawmill, a grist mill, a tannery, and a brickyard.

Geography

Albion Borough is located in the northwest corner of Erie County, Pennsylvania. It is situated along the eastern shore of Lake Erie, just south of the city of Erie. The borough is bordered by the townships of Amity, Concord, and Girard. According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 1.2 square miles, all of which is land.
