North Branch Summary

History

North Branch is a small village located in Lapeer County, Michigan. It is situated on the banks of the North Branch of the Flint River, which is the source of its name. The village was first settled in 1837 by a group of settlers from New York. The settlers were attracted to the area due to its abundant natural resources, including timber, water, and fertile soil.
The village was officially incorporated in 1867 and was home to a variety of businesses, including a sawmill, a grist mill, a blacksmith shop, and a general store. The village also had a post office, a school, and a church.
