Baden Summary

Baden is a small town located in Maryland, United States. It is situated in Prince George's County, and is part of the Washington Metropolitan Area. The town has a population of approximately 4,000 people, and is located about 20 miles from Washington, D.C.

History

Baden was founded in 1873 by a group of German immigrants who had settled in the area. The town was named after the German city of Baden-Baden, and was originally a farming community. The town was incorporated in 1891, and the first mayor was John W. Schafer.
In the early 20th century, Baden began to grow and develop. The town was home to a number of businesses, including a cannery, a brickyard, and a sawmill. The town also had a number of churches, including the German Lutheran Church, which was founded in 1891.
In the 1950s, Baden began to experience a decline in population as many of its residents moved to larger cities. However, in the late 1970s, the town began to experience a resurgence in population as people began to move back to the area.

Geography

Baden is located in Prince George's County, Maryland. It is situated on the banks of the Patuxent River, and is about 20 miles from Washington, D.C. The town is surrounded by a number of small towns and villages, including Brandywine, Cheltenham, and Aquasco.
The town has a total area of 1.2 square miles, all of which is land. The town is located in a humid subtropical climate zone, and experiences hot, humid summers and mild winters.

Economy

Baden's economy is largely based on agriculture and tourism. The town is home to a number of farms, which produce a variety of crops, including corn, soybeans, and wheat. The town is also home to a number of small businesses, including restaurants, shops, and a winery.
