Clintwood Summary

Clintwood is a town located in Dickenson County, Virginia, United States. The population was 1,845 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Dickenson County.

History

Clintwood was established in 1891 and named after William Clinton, a local landowner. The town was incorporated in 1892. The town was originally known as "Clintwood Station" due to its location on the Norfolk and Western Railway.
