Kennard Summary

Kennard is a small town located in Henry County, Indiana. It is situated in the east central part of the state, about 25 miles northeast of Indianapolis. The town was founded in 1837 and has a population of approximately 500 people.

The town is surrounded by rolling hills and farmland, and is located about 25 miles northeast of Indianapolis. The town is located at an elevation of 830 feet above sea level.

History

Kennard was founded in 1837 by William Kennard, a Quaker from North Carolina. He purchased the land from the government and established a small settlement. The town was originally called Kennard's Station, but the name was later changed to Kennard. The town grew slowly over the years, and by the late 19th century, it had become a thriving agricultural community.
In the early 20th century, the town began to experience a decline in population as people moved away to larger cities. However, in the late 20th century, the town experienced a resurgence in population as people began to move back to the area.
