Shidler is a small town located in Osage County, Oklahoma. It is situated in the northeastern part of the state, about 25 miles northwest of Tulsa. The town was founded in 1891 and named after its first postmaster, William Shidler. As of the 2010 census, the population of Shidler was 545.

Geography

Shidler is located at 36°45'25"N 96°17'45"W (36.7569, -96.2958). It is situated in the Osage Plains, a region of rolling hills and prairies. The town is located on the banks of the Arkansas River, which flows through the area. The nearest major city is Tulsa, which is about 25 miles to the southeast.

Climate
