Carney is a small town located in Lincoln County, Oklahoma. It is situated about 20 miles east of Oklahoma City and is part of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. Carney is located at 35°45'25" North, 97°2'25" West (35.756944, -97.040278). It is situated in the rolling hills of central Oklahoma, about 20 miles east of Oklahoma City. The town is located in the Cross Timbers region of the state, which is characterized by a mix of deciduous and evergreen trees. The town is situated on the banks of the Deep Fork River, which flows through the town and provides a source of recreation for the residents.
