Tripoli Summary

Tripoli is a city located in Bremer County, Iowa, United States. It is part of the Waterloo–Cedar Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 1,845 at the 2010 census.

History

Tripoli was founded in 1854 by a group of German immigrants. The city was named after the city of Tripoli in Libya, which was the birthplace of one of the settlers. The city was incorporated in 1876.
