Swea City Summary

Swea City, Iowa is a small town located in Kossuth County in the north-central part of the state. It is situated on the banks of the Des Moines River, about 20 miles east of Algona. The town was founded in 1882 and was named after the Swea River, which flows through the area. The population of Swea City was 845 in the 2010 census.
