Mcintire is a small city located in Mitchell County, Iowa, United States. It is situated along the Cedar River, approximately 10 miles south of Osage. The population was estimated to be around 200 people in 2020.
History
Mcintire was founded in 1856 by a group of settlers from Ohio. The town was named after the McIntire family, who were among the first settlers. The town was originally a farming community, but it soon became a center for the lumber industry. The town was incorporated in 1875.
