Wykoff Summary

Wykoff is a small city located in Fillmore County, Minnesota. It is situated in the southeastern corner of the state, about 30 miles south of Rochester. The city has a population of approximately 500 people and covers an area of 0.7 square miles.

History

The area that is now Wykoff was first settled in 1854 by a group of German immigrants. The town was originally called “New Germany” and was later renamed Wykoff after the first postmaster, John Wykoff. The town was officially incorporated in 1887.
