Stacy Summary
Stacy is a small city located in Chisago County, Minnesota, United States. It is situated on the north shore of the Sunrise River, about 30 miles northeast of Minneapolis. The population was 2,945 at the 2010 census.
History
Stacy was first settled in 1854 by a group of Swedish immigrants. The town was named after the Swedish word for “stone”, as the area was known for its abundance of granite. The first post office was established in 1856.

The average household size was 2.68 and the average family size was 3.20.
In the city, the population was spread out, with 27.2% under the age of 18, 7.2% from 18 to 24, 28.2% from 25 to 44, 24.2% from 45 to 64, and 13.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females, there were 97.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.2 males.
