Landfall Summary

Landfall, Minnesota is a small city located in the southeastern corner of the state, just north of the Iowa border. It is part of the Rochester metropolitan area and is home to a population of just over 1,000 people. The city is known for its rural charm and its close proximity to the Mississippi River.

History

Landfall was founded in 1856 by a group of settlers from Wisconsin. The city was originally named “Landfall City” and was the first settlement in the area. The settlers were attracted to the area due to its fertile soil and abundant natural resources. The city was incorporated in 1872 and was named after the nearby Mississippi River.
