La Salle Summary
La Salle, Minnesota is a small city located in Wabasha County in the southeastern corner of the state. It is situated on the banks of the Mississippi River, just north of the city of Wabasha. The city has a population of just over 1,000 people, making it one of the smallest cities in the state.
History
La Salle was founded in 1854 by a group of French-Canadian settlers who were looking for a place to settle and farm. The city was named after the explorer, Robert de La Salle, who explored the area in the late 1600s. The city was incorporated in 1856 and quickly grew to become a thriving agricultural community.
The city was a major stop on the Mississippi River for steamboats and barges, and it was also a major hub for the railroad. The city was also home to a number of industries, including a flour mill, a sawmill, and a brickyard.

La Salle is located in the southeastern corner of Minnesota, just north of the city of Wabasha.
