Meeker County is located in the central part of Minnesota, in the west-central region of the state. It is bordered by Kandiyohi County to the north, Stearns County to the east, McLeod County to the south, and Wright County to the west. Meeker County was established in 1856 and was named after Bradley B. Meeker, a Minnesota politician.
