Shenandoah Summary

Shenandoah is a city located in Montgomery County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,895 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area.

History

Shenandoah was founded in 1881 by German immigrants who named the town after the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. The town was originally called “Shenandoah Valley” but was later shortened to “Shenandoah”. The town was incorporated in 1967.
