Midway Summary

Midway is a small town located in the Pender County of North Carolina. It is situated on the banks of the Northeast Cape Fear River, about 20 miles north of Wilmington. The town was founded in 1750 and was originally known as “Halfway” due to its location halfway between Wilmington and Burgaw. The town was later renamed Midway in 1871.
