Toquerville is a small town located in Washington County, Utah, United States. It is situated along Interstate 15, about 20 miles north of St. George and about 30 miles south of Cedar City. The population was 1,072 at the 2010 census.

History

Toquerville was first settled in 1858 by a group of Mormon pioneers led by John Toone. The town was named after Toone, who was a leader in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The town was originally located in Iron County, but was moved to Washington County in 1882.

Toquerville is located at 37°14'17" North, 113°25'17" West (37.238, -113.421). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.9 square miles, all of it land.

Toquerville is a small, rural community with a primarily agricultural economy. The town is home to several small businesses, including a grocery store, a gas station, and a few restaurants. The town also has a post office and a library.
