Nibley is a city located in Cache County, Utah, United States. It is part of the Logan, Utah-Idaho Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 8,919 at the 2010 census.
History
Nibley was first settled in 1859 by a group of Mormon pioneers led by William Nibley. The town was named after William Nibley, who was a prominent leader in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The town was incorporated in 1891.
Geography
Nibley is located at 41°45'17" North, 111°48'17" West (41.754722, -111.804722). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 4.3 square miles, all of it land.
Economy
Nibley is home to several businesses, including a Walmart Supercenter, a Smith's Food and Drug, and a Maverik convenience store. The city is also home to several manufacturing companies, including Nibley Manufacturing, which produces agricultural equipment, and Nibley Plastics, which produces plastic products.

As of the census of 2010, there were 8,919 people, 2,845 households, and 2,323 families residing in the city. The population density was 2,079.3 people per square mile. There were 3,039 housing units at an average density of 708.3 per square mile. The racial makeup of the city was 91.2% White, 0.7% African American, 0.5% Native American, 0.7% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 4.7% from other races, and 2.2% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 8.7% of the population.
There were 2,845 households, out of which 44.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.2% were married couples living together, 10.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.2% were non-families. 17.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.12 and the average family size was 3.56.
In the city, the population was spread out, with 33.2% under the age of 18, 11.2% from 18 to 24, 27.2% from 25 to 44, 19.7% from 45 to 64, and 8.7% who were 65 years of age or older.
