Enoch Summary
Enoch is a city located in Iron County, Utah, United States. It is part of the Cedar City, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 5,803 at the 2010 census.
History
Enoch was first settled in 1851 by a group of Mormon pioneers led by William Enoch Davis. The town was named after Davis' son, Enoch. The town was incorporated in 1891.

Enoch is home to several businesses, including a Walmart Supercenter, a Home Depot, and a Lowe's Home Improvement store. The city also has a number of restaurants, including a McDonald's, a Burger King, and a Subway.

As of the census of 2000, there were 4,845 people, 1,541 households, and 1,269 families residing in the city. The population density was 912.2 people per square mile (352.3/km2). There were 1,619 housing units at an average density of 305.7 per square mile (118.1/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 94.2% White, 0.2% African American, 0.7% Native American, 0.3% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 2.7% from other races, and 1.8% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 5.2% of the population.
There were 1,541 households, out of which 44.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.2% were married couples living together, 8.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 19.2% were non-families. 15.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.14 and the average family size was 3.51.
In the city, the population was spread out, with 34.2% under the age of 18, 10.2% from 18 to 24, 25.2% from 25 to 44, 19.7% from 45 to 64, and 10.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 30 years. For every 100 females, there were 97.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.2 males.
