North Pearsall Summary
North Pearsall is a small city located in Frio County, Texas. It is situated about 30 miles northwest of San Antonio and is part of the San Antonio–New Braunfels Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city has a population of approximately 2,000 people and is known for its rural atmosphere and small-town charm.
History
North Pearsall was founded in 1881 by a group of settlers from Pearsall, Texas. The town was originally called “New Pearsall” and was located on the north side of the Frio River. The town was later renamed “North Pearsall” to distinguish it from the original Pearsall.
The town grew slowly but steadily over the years, and by the early 1900s, it had become a thriving agricultural community. Cotton, corn, and sorghum were the main crops grown in the area, and the town was home to several cotton gins and a cottonseed oil mill.
In the 1920s, the town began to experience a period of growth and prosperity. The population increased from around 500 in 1920 to over 1,000 by 1930. During this time, the town was home to several businesses, including a bank, a hotel, a movie theater, and a variety of stores.

North Pearsall is located in Frio County, Texas, about 30 miles northwest of San Antonio. The city is situated on the north side of the Frio River, and the terrain is mostly flat with some rolling hills. The climate is semi-arid, with hot summers and mild winters.
