Taylor Mill Summary

Taylor Mill is a city located in Kenton County, Kentucky, United States. It is a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio, and is part of the Greater Cincinnati metropolitan area. The population was 6,521 at the 2010 census.

History

The area that is now Taylor Mill was first settled in the early 1800s by the Taylor family. The family built a mill on the banks of the Licking River, which gave the area its name. The mill was used to grind grain and was a major source of income for the family.
In the late 1800s, the area began to grow as more people moved to the area. The Taylor Mill post office was established in 1891. The city was officially incorporated in 1951.
