Introduction
Mount Olivet is a small unincorporated community located in Robertson County, Kentucky. It is situated on the banks of the Licking River, approximately 10 miles east of the county seat of Mount Olivet. The community is home to a population of approximately 500 people, and is known for its rural charm and small-town atmosphere.
History
Mount Olivet was first settled in the early 1800s by a group of settlers from Virginia. The town was named after the nearby Mount Olivet Church, which was built in 1820. The church was named after the biblical Mount of Olives, and was the first church in the area.
