Goshen Summary

Goshen, Kentucky is a small unincorporated community located in Oldham County, Kentucky. It is situated on the banks of the Ohio River, just south of Louisville. The population of Goshen was estimated to be around 1,000 in 2020.

History

Goshen was first settled in the early 1800s by a group of settlers from Pennsylvania. The town was named after the biblical city of Goshen, which was located in the land of Egypt. The settlers were attracted to the area due to its fertile soil and abundant natural resources. The town was officially incorporated in 1820.
