Bellemeade Summary

Bellemeade, Kentucky is a small town located in the western part of the state, in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. It is situated in the county of Warren, and is part of the Bowling Green Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town has a population of just over 1,000 people, and is known for its rural charm and small-town atmosphere.

History

Bellemeade was first settled in the early 1800s by a group of settlers from Virginia. The town was originally known as “Bellemeade Station”, and was a stop on the Louisville and Nashville Railroad. The town was officially incorporated in 1883, and was named after the Bellemeade Plantation, which was located nearby.
