Crocker Summary

Crocker is a small city located in Pulaski County, Missouri. It is situated on the banks of the Gasconade River, approximately 25 miles north of the state capital of Jefferson City. The city has a population of 1,845 people, according to the 2010 census.

History

Crocker was founded in 1858 by a group of settlers from Kentucky. The city was named after a local landowner, William Crocker. The city was incorporated in 1872 and has remained a small, rural community ever since.
The city was an important stop on the St. Louis and San Francisco Railroad, which ran through the city from 1881 to 1932. The railroad brought economic growth to the area, and the city was home to several businesses, including a flour mill, a sawmill, and a brickyard.
