Bertrand is a small town located in Scott County, Missouri. It is situated on the banks of the Mississippi River, approximately 20 miles south of Sikeston. The town was founded in 1837 and was named after the French explorer Pierre Bertrand. The population of Bertrand was 1,093 at the 2010 census.

Bertrand is located at 37°3'25" North, 89°37'25" West (37.056944, -89.62361). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.7 square miles (1.8 km2), all of it land.

Bertrand is a small rural town with a limited economy. The main industries in the area are agriculture and tourism. The town is home to several small businesses, including a grocery store, a hardware store, a restaurant, and a few other small shops.
