Ladue is a city located in St. Louis County, Missouri, United States. It is an inner-ring suburb of St. Louis, located approximately 8 miles west of downtown St. Louis. The population was 8,560 at the 2010 census.
History
Ladue was founded in 1876 by a group of German immigrants who named the area after their hometown of Ladue, Germany. The city was incorporated in 1936.

Ladue is located at 38°37′17″N 90°22′59″W (38.621400, -90.383090). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 4.90 square miles (12.71 km2), all land.

Ladue is home to many corporate headquarters, including Monsanto, Express Scripts, and Edward Jones. The city also has a number of retail stores, restaurants, and other businesses.
Demographics
As of the census of 2010, there were 8,560 people, 3,541 households, and 2,541 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,741.2 people per square mile (671.7/km2). There were 3,741 housing units at an average density of 758.2 per square mile (293.2/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 87.2% White, 5.7% African American, 0.1% Native American, 5.3% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 0.4% from other races, and 1.2% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.7% of the population.
There were 3,541 households, out of which 28.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.2% were married couples living together, 5.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.7% were non-families. 25.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 14.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.41 and the average family size was 2.93.
In the city, the population was spread out, with 22.2% under the age of 18, 4.2% from 18 to 24, 19.2% from 25 to 44, 32.2% from 45 to 64, and 22.2% who were 65 years of age or older.
