Homerville Summary

Homerville is a city located in Clinch County, Georgia, United States. The population was 2,845 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Clinch County.

History

Homerville was founded in 1854 by a group of settlers from South Carolina. The town was named after the homesteads of the settlers. The town was incorporated in 1856.
In the late 19th century, Homerville was a major center for the turpentine industry. The town was also home to a large sawmill and a cotton gin.
